Training & Competition Grant Application
Purpose:
The YULF Judo Training and Competition Grant is designed to support judo athletes who demonstrate exceptional skill and dedication to the sport. This grant provides financial assistance for training and competing at national and international levels, aligning with the YULF mission to cultivate world-class judo athletes.
YULF Mission:
Support amateur judo athletes in achieving academic and athletic excellence.
Provide student athletes with opportunities and experiences that help them gain real-world business experiences.
Eligibility Criteria:
•Applicant must be admitted to or currently enrolled at SJSU (as a full-time, part-time or Open University student), another accredited institution, or a community college, maintaining good academic standing, and actively pursuing an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or higher while training full-time with the SJSU Judo team.
•Applicant must be actively training with the SJSU Judo team full-time and claim SJSU Judo as their dojo in competitions and training camp registrations.
•Applicant must be actively competing at national or international levels.
•Determining Financial Need for Applicants: At YULF, we support athletes who show financial need for training and competitions. Applicants must complete this form, provide financial background information, and share a personal statement about their situation. Our review committee ensures fair decisions to help deserving athletes pursue their judo goals.
•Please note: Tournament and event requests are subject to SJSU Judo coaching staff discretion and approval to be considered for grant funding.
